WACO, Texas (KWTX)<\/strong> \u2013 Der Waco Independent School District hat Anfang Oktober die Anwendung \u201eSTOPit\u201c eingef\u00fchrt, um Mobbing und andere Bedrohungen zu bek\u00e4mpfen.<\/p>\n

\"app<\/a><\/p>\n

Die App erm\u00f6glicht es Sch\u00fclern, ihren Familien oder jedem in der Community, anonyme Tipps mithilfe von Bildern, Videos und Texten zu geben.<\/p>\n

\u201eEs ist ein Tool, das eine wechselseitige Kommunikation erm\u00f6glicht\u201c, sagte Dr. Rachelle Warren, stellvertretende Leiterin f\u00fcr studentische Dienste und Unterst\u00fctzung.<\/p>\n

\u201eSie k\u00f6nnen Berichte anonym einreichen und sich auf alles, also jedes besorgniserregende Verhalten, beziehen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Hope Balfa-Mustakim hat zwei Kinder in Waco und sagt, dass man sich mit den Problemen der psychischen Gesundheit und des Mobbings befassen muss.<\/p>\n

\u201eAls Sozialarbeiterin verstehe ich die Auswirkungen, die die psychische Gesundheit auf das gemobbte Kind, auf die Kinder, die Mobbing miterleben, und sogar auf die Kinder, die das Mobbing begehen, hat\u201c, sagte sie.<\/p>\n

Balfa-Mustakim sagt, diese Probleme seien auch in unserer Region sp\u00fcrbar und k\u00f6nnten die Sch\u00fcler in vielerlei Hinsicht beeinflussen. Deshalb seien Instrumente zur Meldung dieser Probleme so wichtig.<\/p>\n

\u201ePsychische Gesundheit und Mobbing haben dramatische Auswirkungen auf die Leistung der Sch\u00fcler, ihre Lernf\u00e4higkeit und das Klima auf dem Campus, wo sie sich sicher f\u00fchlen und lernen k\u00f6nnen, weil sie sich sicher f\u00fchlen\u201c, sagte Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

Die Verantwortlichen des Waco ISD hoffen, dass die App \u201eSTOPit\u201c diese Kommunikationsm\u00f6glichkeit \u00f6ffnet und sagen, dass sie bereits Anzeichen daf\u00fcr sehen.<\/p>\n

Dr. Warren sagt, dass im Oktober Dutzende von Berichten aus der Grundschule, Mittelschule und Oberschule \u00fcber die App eingegangen sind und direkt an einen Administrator weitergeleitet wurden.<\/p>\n

\u201eEs erm\u00f6glicht uns wirklich, die wirklich wichtigste Stimme unserer Gemeinschaft anzusprechen und die Dinge aus ihrer Perspektive zu sehen\u201c, sagte Dr. Warren.<\/p>\n

\u201eJeder einzelne Bericht, den wir bisher erhalten haben, hat uns wirklich mit wichtigen Informationen versorgt.\u201c<\/p>\n

Eltern wie Hope sind dankbar f\u00fcr diesen Schritt zum Schutz unserer Kinder und zur Sicherheit aller, da die Meldefunktion so einfach ist.<\/p>\n

\u201eEs ist nur ein St\u00fcck des Kuchens der psychischen Gesundheit f\u00fcr unseren Bezirk, aber ein riesiger\u201c, sagte Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

\u201eEtwas Zug\u00e4ngliches, mit dem man auch ohne Telefonanschluss WLAN nutzen kann. Hoffentlich sind unsere Kinder dadurch nicht nur sicherer, sondern f\u00fchlen sich auch sicherer.\u201c<\/p>\n

Die App ist auf jedem Waco ISD-Ger\u00e4t zug\u00e4nglich oder kann \u00fcber den App Store auf Ihre eigenen Ger\u00e4te heruntergeladen werden.<\/p>\n

Die Finanzierung der Plattform erfolgt \u00fcber den Stop School Violence Act durch einen Zuschuss des Justizministeriums, der der ESC-Region 12 im vergangenen Oktober gew\u00e4hrt wurde.<\/p>\n

\u201eWir sind der Region 12 dankbar, dass sie uns die M\u00f6glichkeit gibt, dieses wertvolle Tool zu nutzen\u201c, sagte Schulleiterin Dr. Susan Kincannon. \u201eSch\u00fclern eine sichere M\u00f6glichkeit zu bieten, Verletzungen oder das Gef\u00fchl von Gefahr zu melden, ist ein weiterer Schutz f\u00fcr ihr Wohlbefinden. STOPit wird zwar nicht die Beziehungen ersetzen, die unsere Mitarbeiter zu unseren Sch\u00fclern aufbauen m\u00f6chten, aber wir hoffen, dass die App ihnen hilft, Mobbing oder andere Probleme sicherer zu melden und keine Angst vor Vergeltungsma\u00dfnahmen zu haben.\u201c<\/p>\n
