Read on for our recommended best practices.<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span><br \/>\n<span><br \/>\nWhy use this integration?<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Centralized management<\/strong>: Manage and block apps in real-time from one platform.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rapid response<\/strong>: Quickly block non-approved applications to protect your district from inappropriate content and cybersecurity risks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compliance<\/strong>: Ensure adherence to both internal policies and data privacy laws like FERPA and COPPA, providing more control over which digital tools are accessible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\n<span><br \/>\n<span><br \/>\nBest practices for coordinating teams<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Clarify Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the new integration is housed within Lightspeed Filter (Filter), the Lightspeed Digital Insight (Digital Insight) administrator will need to collaborate with the Filter administrator to activate it before it is enabled.<\/p>\n<p>The Filter administrator can enable the feature by navigating to <em>Settings &gt; General<\/em>, and toggling on <em>\u201cDigital Insight \u2018Not Approved\u2019 Application Sync\u201d.<\/em> Once enabled, the sync will automatically block hosts associated with apps that were marked<em>\u00a0\u201cNot Approved\u201d <\/em>in Digital Insight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ensure You\u2019re Set Up for Success<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order for the integration to work properly, your district must be actively using the App Approval process in Digital Insight. Only apps that have been marked as \u201cNot Approved\u201d in Digital Insight will be blocked by the Filter. Make sure this system is set up in Digital Insight before getting started.<\/p>\n<p>And a bonus: For districts using Lightspeed Filter, Digital Insight, and Classroom Management, the App Approval process integrates across all three, ensuring even more comprehensive control over app usage!<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span><br \/>\n<span><br \/>\nFAQs<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<p><strong>What happens when apps are approved?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If an app is later approved, it returns to its original Lightspeed Category in Filter.
