WACO, Texas (KWTX)<\/strong> \u2013 Le district scolaire ind\u00e9pendant de Waco a lanc\u00e9 l\u2019application \u00ab STOPit \u00bb d\u00e9but octobre dans l\u2019espoir de lutter contre l\u2019intimidation et d\u2019autres menaces.<\/p>\n

\"app<\/a><\/p>\n

L'application permet aux \u00e9tudiants, \u00e0 leurs familles ou \u00e0 toute personne de la communaut\u00e9 de donner des conseils anonymes \u00e0 l'aide d'images, de vid\u00e9os et de texte.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C'est un outil qui permet une communication bidirectionnelle \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Rachelle Warren, surintendante adjointe des services et du soutien aux \u00e9tudiants.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Ils peuvent soumettre des rapports de mani\u00e8re anonyme et peuvent concerner n\u2019importe quel comportement pr\u00e9occupant. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Hope Balfa-Mustakim a deux enfants \u00e0 Waco et affirme qu'il est n\u00e9cessaire de s'attaquer aux probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et d'intimidation.<\/p>\n

\u00ab En tant que travailleuse sociale, je comprends les implications que la sant\u00e9 mentale a sur l\u2019enfant victime d\u2019intimidation, sur les enfants qui sont t\u00e9moins d\u2019intimidation et m\u00eame sur les enfants qui commettent l\u2019intimidation \u00bb, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Balfa-Mustakim affirme que ces probl\u00e8mes sont visibles ici m\u00eame, dans notre r\u00e9gion, et peuvent influencer les \u00e9tudiants de multiples fa\u00e7ons. C'est pourquoi les outils permettant de les signaler sont si importants.<\/p>\n

\u00ab La sant\u00e9 mentale et l\u2019intimidation ont un impact consid\u00e9rable sur les performances des \u00e9tudiants, leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 apprendre et le climat du campus o\u00f9 ils se sentent en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et peuvent apprendre parce qu\u2019ils se sentent en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

Les dirigeants du district scolaire ind\u00e9pendant de Waco esp\u00e8rent que l'application \u00ab STOPit \u00bb ouvrira cette porte de communication et disent qu'ils en voient d\u00e9j\u00e0 des signes.<\/p>\n

Le Dr Warren explique qu'au cours du mois d'octobre, des dizaines de rapports ont \u00e9t\u00e9 re\u00e7us sur l'application, provenant des niveaux \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire, interm\u00e9diaire et secondaire, et sont directement adress\u00e9s \u00e0 un administrateur.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Cela nous permet vraiment d\u2019\u00e9couter la voix la plus importante au sein de notre communaut\u00e9 et de voir les choses de leur point de vue \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Warren.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Chaque rapport que nous avons re\u00e7u jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent nous a r\u00e9ellement permis d\u2019acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des informations importantes. \u00bb<\/p>\n

L\u2019acc\u00e8s facile aux signalements rend les parents comme Hope reconnaissants de cette mesure visant \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger nos enfants et \u00e0 assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de tous.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Ce n'est qu'un \u00e9l\u00e9ment du g\u00e2teau de la sant\u00e9 mentale pour notre district, mais c'est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment \u00e9norme \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Un service accessible, accessible en Wi-Fi m\u00eame sans abonnement t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique. Esp\u00e9rons que cela permettra \u00e0 nos enfants d'\u00eatre non seulement plus en s\u00e9curit\u00e9, mais aussi de se sentir plus en s\u00e9curit\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\n

L'application est accessible sur n'importe quel appareil Waco ISD ou peut \u00eatre t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9e via l'App Store sur vos propres appareils.<\/p>\n

Le financement de la plateforme est assur\u00e9 par la loi Stop School Violence Act, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une subvention du minist\u00e8re de la Justice accord\u00e9e \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion 12 de l'ESC en octobre dernier.<\/p>\n

Bien que STOPit ne remplace pas les relations que nous souhaitons que le personnel tisse avec nos \u00e9l\u00e8ves, nous esp\u00e9rons que l'application les encouragera \u00e0 signaler plus facilement les cas d'intimidation ou autres pr\u00e9occupations, sans craindre de repr\u00e9sailles. \u00bb<\/p>\n
