The enhanced Lightspeed Parent Portal, part of Lightspeed Filter™, now offers parents more power at their fingertips. In addition to internet shutdowns and web activity monitoring, district IT admins can empower parents with the ability to selectively allow, restrict, or block after-school access to YouTube and social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and more.
These new settings are fully customizable, with IT administrators retaining control over which settings can be viewed and modified by parents. Specifically for YouTube, admins can now provide parents control over Lightspeed SmartPlay™, Restricted Mode, or even give students unrestricted access. Through these new features, Lightspeed continues to facilitate collaboration in nurturing digital citizenship.
