WACO, Texas (KWTX)<\/strong> \u2013 O Distrito Escolar Independente de Waco lan\u00e7ou o aplicativo \u201cSTOPit\u201d no in\u00edcio de outubro com a esperan\u00e7a de combater o bullying e outras amea\u00e7as.<\/p>\n

\"app<\/a><\/p>\n

O aplicativo permite que alunos, suas fam\u00edlias ou qualquer pessoa da comunidade d\u00eaem dicas an\u00f4nimas usando fotos, v\u00eddeos e texto.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00c9 uma ferramenta que permite a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o bidirecional\u201d, disse a Dra. Rachelle Warren, Superintendente Assistente de Servi\u00e7os e Suporte ao Estudante.<\/p>\n

\u201cEles podem enviar den\u00fancias anonimamente e podem ser sobre qualquer coisa, qualquer comportamento preocupante.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hope Balfa-Mustakim tem dois filhos em Waco e diz que \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio abordar quest\u00f5es de sa\u00fade mental e bullying.<\/p>\n

\u201cComo assistente social, entendo as implica\u00e7\u00f5es que a sa\u00fade mental tem sobre a crian\u00e7a que sofre bullying, as crian\u00e7as que testemunham o bullying e at\u00e9 mesmo as crian\u00e7as que praticam o bullying\u201d, disse ela.<\/p>\n

Balfa-Mustakim afirma que esses problemas podem ser observados aqui mesmo na nossa regi\u00e3o e podem influenciar os alunos de diversas maneiras. \u00c9 por isso que ferramentas para denunciar esses problemas s\u00e3o t\u00e3o importantes.<\/p>\n

\u201cA sa\u00fade mental e o bullying t\u00eam um impacto dr\u00e1stico no desempenho dos alunos, na capacidade de aprendizagem e no clima do campus, onde eles se sentem seguros e podem aprender porque se sentem seguros\u201d, disse Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

Os l\u00edderes do Waco ISD esperam que o aplicativo \u201cSTOPit\u201d abra essa porta de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e dizem que j\u00e1 est\u00e3o vendo sinais disso.<\/p>\n

O Dr. Warren diz que, no m\u00eas de outubro, dezenas de relat\u00f3rios chegaram ao aplicativo, de alunos do ensino fundamental, m\u00e9dio e superior, e foram diretamente para um administrador.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsso realmente nos permite conectar-nos com a voz mais importante da nossa comunidade e ver as coisas da perspectiva dela\u201d, disse o Dr. Warren.<\/p>\n

\u201cCada relat\u00f3rio que recebemos at\u00e9 agora realmente nos conectou a informa\u00e7\u00f5es importantes.\u201d<\/p>\n

O f\u00e1cil acesso aos relat\u00f3rios deixou pais como Hope gratos por esta medida para proteger nossos filhos e manter todos seguros.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00c9 apenas uma parte do bolo da sa\u00fade mental do nosso distrito, mas \u00e9 uma parte enorme\u201d, disse Balfa-Mustakim.<\/p>\n

"Algo acess\u00edvel que, mesmo sem sinal de celular, voc\u00ea ainda possa acessar via Wi-Fi. Espero que isso n\u00e3o s\u00f3 fa\u00e7a com que nossas crian\u00e7as fiquem mais seguras, mas tamb\u00e9m se sintam mais seguras."<\/p>\n

O aplicativo pode ser acessado em qualquer dispositivo Waco ISD ou pode ser baixado pela loja de aplicativos no seu pr\u00f3prio dispositivo.<\/p>\n

O financiamento para a plataforma est\u00e1 sendo fornecido por meio do Stop School Violence Act, por meio de uma doa\u00e7\u00e3o do Departamento de Justi\u00e7a concedida \u00e0 ESC Regi\u00e3o 12 em outubro passado.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomos gratos \u00e0 Regi\u00e3o 12 por nos dar a oportunidade de utilizar esta ferramenta t\u00e3o valiosa\u201d, disse a Dra. Susan Kincannon, superintendente. \u201cOferecer uma maneira segura para os alunos denunciarem qualquer dano ou se sentirem em perigo \u00e9 apenas mais uma camada de prote\u00e7\u00e3o para o seu bem-estar. Embora o STOPit n\u00e3o substitua os relacionamentos que queremos que a equipe construa com nossos alunos, esperamos que o aplicativo os incentive a se sentirem mais seguros ao denunciar bullying ou outras preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es, sem temer retalia\u00e7\u00f5es.\u201d<\/p>\n
