A preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 compreens\u00edvel \u2014 pais, educadores e formuladores de pol\u00edticas querem o melhor para os alunos. Mas, como a maioria dos t\u00f3picos pol\u00eamicos, a conversa sobre o tempo de tela nas escolas geralmente carece de nuances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/us-news\/education\/schools-phone-screens-technology-research-c268bda5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Um recente <em>Jornal de Wall Street<\/em> artigo<\/a> (para os quais fornecemos dados de tempo de tela) relata que os alunos do primeiro ao d\u00e9cimo segundo ano agora passam <strong>uma m\u00e9dia de 98 minutos por dia em dispositivos fornecidos pela escola<\/strong>\u2014mais de 20% de tempo instrucional. Isso \u00e9 muito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa mesma quest\u00e3o desencadeou uma discuss\u00e3o animada em nossa recente reuni\u00e3o do Conselho Consultivo Distrital (DAC), onde os l\u00edderes distritais reconheceram que o tempo de tela \u00e9 uma grande preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o para pais e comunidades, mas tamb\u00e9m apontaram as nuances que s\u00e3o negligenciadas. Nem todo o tempo de tela \u00e9 o mesmo, e juntar tudo isso perde a vis\u00e3o geral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-not-all-student-screen-time-is-the-same\">Nem todo o tempo de tela dos alunos \u00e9 igual<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9 f\u00e1cil juntar todas as atividades digitais, mas essa abordagem simplifica demais a realidade. Imagine estes dois cen\u00e1rios:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Um aluno est\u00e1 assistindo a v\u00eddeos curtos durante a aula, alternando entre sites de jogos e tendo dificuldade para se concentrar na li\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um aluno est\u00e1 usando um dispositivo fornecido pela escola para pesquisar fontes prim\u00e1rias, redigir uma reda\u00e7\u00e3o e colaborar em um projeto cient\u00edfico com colegas de todo o pa\u00eds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos os alunos est\u00e3o passando tempo em telas. Mas suas experi\u00eancias s\u00e3o equivalentes? Claro que n\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-screen-time-consuming-vs-creating\">Tempo de tela do aluno: consumindo vs. criando<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma das maiores diferen\u00e7as no tempo de tela dos alunos \u00e9 entre consumir e criar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Consumindo: <\/strong>Assistir a v\u00eddeos, ler conte\u00fado, jogar ou navegar passivamente pelas informa\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Criando: <\/strong>Escrever ensaios, codificar programas, criar apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es, produzir v\u00eddeos, participar de simula\u00e7\u00f5es e colaborar em projetos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Embora o consumo possa certamente ser educativo (um document\u00e1rio bem organizado ou um v\u00eddeo instrutivo, por exemplo), <strong>um equil\u00edbrio saud\u00e1vel entre consumo e cria\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong> \u00e9 cr\u00edtico.
