That’s why we’re proud to announce a new collaboration with Instagram. Because helping keep students safe takes teamwork, and the challenges schools might face require all of us (technology providers, platforms, and educators) working together.

What This Lightspeed and Instagram Partnership Means

This is just the beginning. As part of Instagram’s School Partnership Program, schools that join gain:

  • Official recognition: A profile banner marking the school or district account as an official Instagram school partner, giving parents and communities confidence they’re following a verified, trusted account.
  • Prioritized reporting: Ability to submit reports of concerning Instagram profiles or posts and receive faster reviews and responses.
  • Exclusive resources: Access to additional tools and guidance that help schools better support students both on and offline.

However we’re not stopping here. Our roadmap includes tighter integrations — for example, enabling approved Instagram school partner accounts to be added directly in the Lightspeed platform, with a streamlined path for sharing concerning profiles or posts directly with Instagram.

Online safety isn’t a single tool or policy. It’s a network of committed partners working side by side. Lightspeed brings visibility and proactive alerts across devices and networks. Instagram brings the reach and responsibility of the platform itself.
