Starting today, when Lightspeed’s Human Review team escalates a high or imminent threat, your designated contacts get a text — with a direct link to full incident details, optimized for any phone. Whether your safety coordinator is across campus, your counselor is between meetings, or your administrator is off-site, they’ll know immediately and can act fast.

Human-reviewed before it reaches your team
SMS alerts only fire after Lightspeed’s Human Review specialists have confirmed a real threat — so your team receives notifications they can trust, not noise to sort through. It’s the same reviewed, verified escalation process your district already relies on, now with an additional channel to make sure it lands.
It works with what you already have
SMS stacks with your existing email and phone call notifications — it doesn’t replace them. Think of it as another layer of coverage that meets your team where they already are. And because it follows the same work hours and snooze settings in your account, contacts won’t be reached outside their configured availability.
Available now, at no additional cost
SMS Notifications is available to all Lightspeed Alert™ customers with an active Human Review license — no add-ons or upgrades needed.
Org owners can enable it in Settings under Human Review. Once it’s on, any escalation contact with Alert access and a US mobile number on file will automatically receive SMS alerts for escalated threats.
